Founded in 1972 in an attempt to build a theater near the working classes, this site has always been distinguished by its strong social commitment. La Villaroel is now a venue for contemporary drama, independent theater, and debuts by emerging Catalan dramaturges.

Founded in 1914, this theater did not host any performances until 1916. Since then it has produced plays by seminal playwrights of the 20th century, as well as contemporary dramaturges, with the contribution of actors of national and often worldwide renown. It also doubles as the Aragonese Center of Barcelona.

The Renoir Floridablanca cinema shows all its programming in original version, with Spanish or Catalan subtitles.

Aribau Multicines & Aribau Club (Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 565-567). This cinema, part of the Balaña Group, always offers a wide variety of entertainment options.

This theater’s select programming features all sorts of spectacles, making it an emblematic entertainment site and cultural hallmark of Barcelona.
